Publishing Co. When I
first got interested in collecting varieties I purchased a copy of Rob
Washburn’s book PNC Varieties, which was printed in 1990. I found that I had a large number of
the varieties listed in his book. I,
also found that there were a large number of new varieties for these stamps,
as well as, varieties for the new stamps that have been issued since that
time. Without Rob’s book, that covered
the first 10 years, I’m sure that I would have given up or certainly not be
as far along as I am today. Thanks
Rob. I also
would like to thank Kim Whynot for retyping Rob’s book. If I were doing it, I would still be typing
the first draft. Kim, Thank you. Larry
Haynes was a great contributor to some of the early drafts with his mat
varieties and detailed drawings of many of the early varieties. Jim
Nelson contributed a great deal, especially with “Hi-brite” paper varieties. Bruce
Menia did the photos of the different tagging varieties for me. His camera and specialized equipment made them
easy to see. Bruce, Thank you. Special
thanks go out to my son, Nathan Harris, who did the entire design of this web
site. This web site has made it easier
for more people to see and discover old and new varieties. Thanks, Nathan. 12/7/05
